About the Sears Holdings Council
Seventeen
Sears Retiree Club presidents, representing a geographic
cross-section of the largest Sears Retiree Clubs, make
up the Sears Retiree Advisory Council. Formed in
January, 2001, the Council represents the 100 plus Sears
Retiree Club presidents and all Sears retirees, bringing
their ideas and suggestions to the Council for review
and recommendation to Sears management. In addition, the
Council provides Sears management with advice and
counsel on current and new retiree programs and benefit
issues. The Council also shares club management best
practices as well as ways to establish and foster the
local Sears store-retiree relationship.
